To help inform Montgomery County voters, we are delivering Voters' Guides over 130 locations around the County. We need volunteers to handle deliveries and monitor and replace copies at various locations. You do not have to be a member to sign up!

General Information for Volunteers

1. Sign-Up.  You can select one or more locations to support.  More information about locations and how to sign up is below.
  • For most locations, you will pick up and deliver a specified number of Voters' Guides. Other guides are delivered by the County to their facilities, and you will only monitor and replace as needed.
  • All locations require regular monitoring to replace Guides when quantities run low. If you select a location that requires delivery, you will also be responsible for monitoring and replacing copies there.
The Voters' Guide Distribution Coordinator is notified when you sign up and will email you a bundle label to print at home. The label has the location, number of copies and the League’s phone number for additional orders. Please email to votersguidedistr@lwvmocomd.org if you do not receive the label.

2. Pick Up Guides for Delivery.  If you are delivering Guides, or coming for replacements, you will pick them up at our offices at 25 Wood Lane. The League's offices are on the lower level of the building. You may enter our offices from the front door and go down the stairs, or park in the lower parking lot behind building 25 and enter from a back door to the office. League office hours are Monday – Friday 11-4. Call 301.984.9585 for directions or questions.
  • Voters’ Guides in English should be available around September 24 and Spanish VGs will be available for delivery October 9.
  • You will be notified when Guides are available for pick up. 
  • The League's offices are on the lower level of the building.  You may enter our offices from the front door and go down the stairs, or park in the lower parking lot behind building 27 and enter from a back door to the office. League office hours are Monday – Friday 11-4. Call 301.984.9585 for directions or questions.
When you pick up Guides, please sign your name on the clipboard with the Voters’ Guides Distribution list.

Additional Locations. If you know of other possible locations, there will be a VG Distribution to Unspecified Locations folder as well as a Blank Label folder. Please provide the information about the location, which Voters’ Guide edition, Spanish or English, and the number of bundles taken.

3. Monitor and Replace.  Return to or call your location(s) often to see if more Guides are needed. If the Guides are not being taken, determine if the Guides are not being taken because they are not in a visible place. Ask to speak to the person who oversees handouts for a more obvious placement.  If the Guides are not being taken because there is no interest at the location, remove extra copies and return them to the League office for redistribution.
