July 20 - Meeting of League members to assess low voter turnout in the June primary.

August 14 - Meeting with Director of the Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships.

August 28 – Awarded the Madeline Naumann Achievement Award granted by League of the National Capital Area – co-shared with the League of Howard County.

September 2 - Meeting with Latino Liaison, Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships

September 9 – Montgomery County Council Proclamation acknowledging the League’s work on National Voter Registration Day.

November 10 - Letter of invitation to the first Civic Engagement Roundtable

January 7 – First meeting of the Civic Engagement Roundtable at the Montgomery County Regional Center in Bethesda

January 12 – “Montgomery Group Brainstorming Ways to Increase Voter Turnout,” article on The Gazette

March 11 – Second meeting of the Civic Engagement Roundtable at the Silver Spring Civic Center in Silver Spring

October 9 - Voter registration at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Mosque (Coordinated by partner Mimi Hassanein)

October 18 - Voter education and registration at Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Mosque’s Religious Founder’s Day (coordinated by Sarah Malik, chairperson of the Women’s Group)

October 30 - Voter registration at Muslim Community Center (coordinated by partner Mimi Hassanein)

November 8 - Voter registration at the Maryland Buddhist Temple (coordinated by partner Rajika Jayatilake)

November 9 – Second meeting of the Civic Engagement Working Group, Rockville Memorial Library in Rockville

November 19 – Guest at TV Program Montgomery Week in Review, Episode 1193.

December 10 – Invited to the 15th Annual Minority Legislative Breakfast (invited by partner Dr. Michael Lin of the Asian American Political Alliance (AAPA))

January 4 - Visit to parents association at the Flower Elementary School - Latino parents

January 4 - Visit to St. Camillus Catholic Church to inquire about doing voter registration

January 5 - Meeting with Director of Student Services and Student Leadership Coordinator at Montgomery County Public Schools (arranged by partner Lynne Harris of Council of PTA’s)

January 16, 30 and February 20 – Voter registration at the Lunar New Year Festivals sponsored by Chinese organizations in the area (coordinated by partner Ningping Feng, Coordination Council of Chinese American Associations)

January 23 - Presentation to group from the Council of Negro Women (had to be postponed due to January's blizzard), (coordinated by partner Pamela Queen)

March 8 - Presentation to the General Assembly of the Montgomery County Regional Student Government Association (MCR), Montgomery Blair High School, Silver Spring (coordinated by partner Lynne Harris)

March 9 - Presentation to the General Assembly of the Montgomery County Junior Councils (MCJC), Kingsview Middle School, Germantown (coordinated by partner Lynne Harris)

March 10 – Presentation to a small group of newly naturalized Latina citizens, between the ages of 22 and 54 – Gaithersburg Library, Gaithersburg (coordinated by Marcia Bond)

March 26 – Presentation by Nancy Soreng to 80+ members of the Council of Negro Women on “Why Your Vote Matters” (coordinated by partner Pamela Queen)

March 26 – The League co-sponsored a forum for candidates running for the 8th Congressional District organized by the Coordination Council of Chinese Americans (coordinated by partners Michael Lin and Liping Feng)
